2024 Build Your Library Reading Challenge

November 30, 2023

December has always been one of my favorite months. Of course, it’s the holiday season, but I also enjoy making goals and planning for the new year. I love setting reading challenge goals for myself and I try to encourage my children to do the same, with various degrees of success.

For the past five years, we have been creating Build Your Library Reading Challenges. It’s a fun activity that my oldest daughter and I collaborate on. We love to brainstorm fun reading challenges that everyone in the family can do. With Sarah living in South Korea, I had to go it alone this year, but I think I managed ok without her!

I’m proud to say that I completed the  2023 Build Your Library Reading Challenge ! I’ve never managed to complete every single prompt in a reading challenge before, but not only did I finish, I completed it before the end of the year!

But now, it’s time to unveil the 2024 Reading Challenge….drumroll please!

This year we are Reading Through History!

I can’t wait to dig into this year’s reading prompts! It’s no secret that I love history and historical fiction – that’s why I created History Book by Book! This year’s prompts will guide you to select a variety of literature, from non-fiction to diverse historical fiction, fantasy, and more! Let’s all be historians in 2024!

I’m looking forward to a great year of reading! I hope you will all come along and join in our reading adventure!
